Practical solutions, not politics.
David has experience as a CPA, MBA, CEO, and CFO for various companies. He also serves as a Fire Commissioner. David believes in informed policy making and is the only candidate to find practical solutions for the families of Snohomish County and Camano Island.
David has a plan to take care of our residents! As PUD commissioner, he will aggressively obtain federal and state grants to expand discount rates for elderly and low-income residents.
David knows that utility rates cannot continue to go up 4% per year. That's why he will also make sound decisions to keep your rates as low as possible.
Your government works for you! As your PUD Commissioner, David will propose work sessions held during convenient and accessible hours, enabling you to bring your concerns directly to the board.
He will also propose televising all PUD meetings and holding meetings across Snohomish County and Camano Island so you can help the utility make better decisions for you and your family.
Good government means facts
One of the key missions of a Commissioner is to obtain reliable facts and figures from the staff. After careful analysis, David will make an objective sound decision because that's his training.
The PUD has been handing out no-bid contracts for a long time. That means we all pay more in the end.
David will end the practice of no-bid contracts at the Snohomish PUD. His goal is to save rate payers money and ensure that their PUD is spending their funds wisely!
Snohomish County and Camano Island are beautiful. As your next PUD Commissioner, David will put a particular focus on protecting our environment by:
Investing in Renewable Energy
Diverse energy sources enable us to maintain stable prices for the rate payers. Over time we will invest in renewable energy sources as they become more affordable.
If elected, David's opponent would take the radical step of immediately blowing up the dams, which would increase our energy rates and jeopardize our power service.
Clean energy is the future! Intelligent investing on the part of the PUD (wind, solar, geothermal, etc.) will secure an affordable and reliable future of clean energy.
Solar Energy Policy
Solar energy is an excellent goal for the future! Preparing to fund solar and other renewable and clean energy projects, especially as the costs diminish, is apart of my long term plan for the PUD.
Promoting electric buses and vehicles is an effective way to reduce carbon output and capitalize on our electricity surpluses.
Encourage innovation, diversity, collaboration, and inclusion of all peoples.
